Flow State
This is Yoeshi. Let me tell you how this collaborative artwork came to be. Mid-June 2026, I painted HeartStrong giving blood at a donation center on a miniature canvas using acrylic paint pens. As I was figuring out the digital direction, Cleofis reached out on X with a generated image of a human figure undergoing an x-ray scan and asked if I could place HeartStrong inside the chest cavity. That idea paved a new path for my painting to live within digitally. An expanded vision better than what I would have come up with alone. From there I used masking and layering in photo editing software to merge the painting with the generated base image Cleofis provided. I then layered in custom generated particle animations made with the Particle Painter by TransparentArt, filling in the void within the figure. Then Cleofis suggested that I let the particles spill outward past the silhouette. That push unlocked the collabs final form. The particles are more than texture. They represent the blood we all carry, and that moment when something pulls you to give a piece of yourself to a stranger. The HeartStrong figure sits in the donation chair inside the chest because that is where the impulse lives. This is a mixed-media collaboration minted under a TEIA collab contract for the Art4Life open call.
