We keep it simple: no accounts, no database about you, and usage statistics only if you say yes.
Who is responsible. teia cafe, Inc. (see Imprint above). For anything about your data, write to info@teia.cafe.
No database, no login. We don't create accounts and we don't keep a database about you, so there's nothing to hack or steal.
What happens on-chain stays on-chain. Any data you write to the blockchain becomes public, immutable, and permanent - that's how the technology works. Please do not share anything you wish to keep private.
Saved in your browser. Preferences such as your currency or gallery view, your wallet connection, and your privacy choice are kept in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us. The privacy choice holds only the choice and its date, and is forgotten after six months.
Usage statistics - only if you agree. If you click “Accept” in the privacy banner, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used. PostHog then sets a cookie with a random ID and receives the pages you open and when you leave them, the links and buttons you click, where you click and how far you scroll (heatmaps, including clicks that lead nowhere), and a recording of your visit - mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and what the page showed, with anything you type hidden. It also receives your browser and device type, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. If you decline, or make no choice, PostHog is not loaded at all. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
Who processes it. PostHog Inc. processes the statistics for us, stored in Frankfurt (EU); PostHog may access them from the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. The site itself is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., which handles technical request data such as IP addresses to serve and protect it.
Public services your browser talks to. To show live on-chain data, your browser loads it directly from public services: TzKT, Teia Rocks, a Tezos RPC node, the IPFS gateway at ipfs.teia.cafe, and Frankfurter for exchange rates. Connecting a wallet goes through the wallet you choose and its connection service. Like any website you visit, these services see your IP address.
How long. Usage statistics are kept for up to one year. We do not sell your data, and there are no ads on this site.
Your choice, any time. Open - also at the bottom of every page - to change or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing stops collection from then on and removes the PostHog cookie from your browser.
Your rights. You can ask for access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing (Art. 15-21 GDPR), by writing to info@teia.cafe. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.
We call it a radio for the shape of the experience, not for how it works.
It is a playlist, played privately. The radio gathers audio minted on Teia into a list, and your own browser plays it for you, one track at a time. There is no schedule and no station: what you hear is a list, not a transmission.
Playing it in public changes that. The moment this music is played in a public or commercial setting - a shop, a bar, an office, an event - it stops being private listening and becomes a public performance, which is what most people mean by a broadcast. Artists set those permissions themselves when they register a work, so you can check the terms and secure broadcasting rights at teia.cafe/copyrightmarketplace.
The works belong to their artists. Teia's collection is managed by the Teia DAO, not by teia.cafe. For more information, see teia.art/wiki.
