You may have noticed a few new things on TEIA's site lately. The last update has added:
- DMs, Public Channels, Private/Public Group Chats
- Comments for every NFT (including blogs), token-gated by ownership
- Comments on polls, token-gated by TEIA membership tokens
- Async notifications (states are saved locally, which lets us avoid having to use traditional databases)
- New page on Tezos bakers/validators and profiles/NFTs have delegation information embedded into them
- Display of baker information in the Tezos ecosystem as well as the baker the artist is delegated to.
What sets this apart from similar features you find on other sites is the fact that everything is handled on the blockchain, meaning that it is inherently, secure, decentralized, and censorship-resistant - used as the technology was meant to be used.
For baker displays and notifications, if you prefer not to see them, can go to the settings pages to turn them off and on depending on your preference.
With this update, this has turned TEIA's teia.art website into an open-sourced, fully-decentralized social media site, with its own feeds and social layers that can be used as a foundation for building many features and integrations on top of going forward.
