In the stillness of the water, where shadows silently creep, Four figures stand in darkness, from the earth their secrets seep. Faces painted with the stories, of souls once here and gone, They whisper with the wind’s breath, a mournful, haunting song. Each gaze is etched with beauty, of life and death entwined, Eyes like hollow lanterns, where memories unwind. They wear the night like velvet, with flowers in their hair, A dance between two worlds, neither here nor there. In blackened gowns they linger, where the water meets the land, Ghostly guardians of twilight, the lost ones hand in hand. Their silence speaks of mysteries, of tales left unsaid, In the twilight’s dying embers, they rise from the dead. In a realm that’s caught between, the living and the past, These women in their mourning, through shadows they are cast.
