In 2011 in Greece there was maybe the biggest movement of people in last 50 yrs. People occupied the Syntagma square for 3 months protesting against the severe austerity measures that were applied to all, and the rapid changes of life standards and deprivation of many human rights. All ages were there all mindsets, people of different social status and different beliefs were gathered daily for long hours protesting and being present to state their mind to the changes that were happening for them all. Many families camped with their children and for the whole summer this was their home, the humble tents in the square, children played and created art, people helped cleaning the place from garbage, doctors and nurses were present 24/7 to give help to anyone in need, I took part on this amazing event that reminded the Democracy of the Ancient Greeks and all the photographs I managed to capture that time still warm my heart and gives me hope for the future. We were together in a rare instance of time, YES TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER and even if one effort doesnt succeed we can do so many more. This is close to the life I was dreaming to live in, a society of no exclusion and people be as one family struggling and fighting for the best for all the community. I am thankful ever since I got the chance to live this historical moment of my country no matter the outcome
